Born into a musical family, both parents have been musicians and teachers over a time span of over 40 years; with their support and encouragement Hannah sang and played multiple instruments from a young age.
Professional performance began in Theatre. After studying at Rada Hannah toured nationally with the RSC, including the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Barbican Theatre and London's West End, during which time her musical and singing abilities were frequently utilised by theatre directors.
The jazz legends of the past have been of greatest musical inspiration since childhood: Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone and Peggy Lee. Today Hannah is also heavily influenced by Madeleine Peyroux, Stacey Kent, Diana Krall and Amy Winehouse.
Peter chose the fretless bass as his instrument due to the heavy influence and inspiration of Czech bassist Vladimír Guma Kulhánek, who later became one of his teachers.
After completing his studies within the Jazz Department of the Public School of Arts in Slovakia, Peter proceeded to be a constant presence within Prague's top jazz clubs. He was at the height of a successful career in Prague, when circumstances combined resulting in his relocation to the UK. Well renowned for his versatility as well has his deep passion for and commitment to music, Peter is unusual in that his many performance collaborations include music within a wide array of genres across the board. A Jazz pianist and composer of the highest calibre, who has been performing regularly on the jazz circuit, delighting audiences from a young age. Stuart has made a mighty repertoire of jazz standards his own, as well as composing both for himself and others. Recent collaborations include: The Dragon Band, John Williams Westcoastin, Paul Mason and Linda Angelis. Stuart also regularly performs at Theatre Severn, Shrewsbury.
He is remarkable in that his musical accomplishments and development of his style to date entirely belie his youth. What Stuart brings to his musical endeavours would be expected of and associated with an older and more experienced musician. Having Stuart on board is considered a creative joy and great pleasure by those musicians who have had the good fortune to collaborate with him; this is because of both Stuart's immense talent and also the gentle modest man that he consistently proves himself to be.
